Isaiah Smith graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. Isaiah spent 2 ½ years at Nationsbank in the Directed Trades Department, where he performed multiple support duties in the Customer Clearing, Income Processing and Foreign Exchange areas. Upon leaving Nationsbank, Isaiah took advantage of an opportunity offered at First Union and obtained his series 6, 63, Life & Health license and Lending Certification. This enabled him to provide investment, lending and depository services to clients in the entire First Union footprint.

Throughout Isaiah’s six-year tenure with First Union/Wachovia he was promoted to Bank Officer for his excellent production as a Relationship Manager. His primary focus was to manage and grow a retail “book of business” totaling approximately 50 million in assets.

As Director of Annuity Marketing with Financial Independence Group one of Isaiah's major responsibilities entails managing the marketers in our annuity division on a day-to-day basis to ensure they bring value, education and enhanced knowledge to each advisor in their book of business. Because of the various companies products, marketing programs, and incentives offered through FIG, he works to constantly challenge and strategize with each marketer to find new innovative ways to increase each advisors bottom line.

In addition to working with the marketers, he also plays a key role in many executive decisions presented to our management staff that ultimately contributes to the continuous growth and success of our company.
