Jim Cooper, Chief Marketing Officer

Jim Cooper graduated from James Madison University with a degree in Business Management and minor in Finance.  He was a scholarship athlete at JMU for four years as a member of the JMU football team.  Before being introduced to Financial Independence Group, Jim was helping run a family business here in Charlotte, NC.  Once Jim met Bill Cain and Bo Johnson, he had to be a part of this great organization.  Jim started his tenure with FIG as an Annuity Marketing Consultant in 2002 and built his book of business from scratch.  Since 2002, Jim has developed a passion for the financial services industry as one of FIG’s top marketers.  He has helped implement many programs and has built one of the top producing books of business in the industry today.  In 2009, Jim joined the FIG management team as Chief Distribution Officer.  As CDO, he continued to grow his client base with the majority of his time spent implementing new ideas, programs and systems to help take you and FIG to the next level.

In 2010, Jim accepted the position of Chief Marketing Officer.  He brings his years of experience, knowledge and leadership to the marketing department.  As CMO, Jim will directly oversee the marketing department as well as continue to be instrumental in the development of current and new marketing programs.  Jim, along with the rest of the senior management team, is readily accessible and always willing to assist you in any way possible.  Jim sees what he does on a day to day basis as relationship building.  He feels producers not only need to have a strong relationship with their clients, but also with their marketing organization.  After all, you all are our clients and we will never forget that.

Jim lives in Charlotte, NC with his wife Jamie.

Jim can be reached by telephone at 1-800-527-1155, Ext. 123 or by e-mail: jim.cooper@figmarketing.com
