Phil started his tenure with FIG in January 1998, after successfully completing his degree at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC.  He began his annuity marketing career from scratch and now has served thousands of agents and advisors.  “He has been honored many times by insurance companies confirming that Phil is one of the, if not the best marketer in the country!” said Bo Johnson.  In the past decade Phil has assisted many producers reach the level of multi-million dollar success.  Taking a different approach over the last few years, Phil has narrowed his focus to a select group of top advisors and producers across the country.  This smaller group of top producers allows him to have a greater impact on their production and become closer with their business.  Acting as a trusted resource and business coach to a few, and watching their success is what gives Phil the greatest joy in this business.  In 2009 Phil was asked to join the management team at FIG and he became the Chief Sales Officer.  With this new role Phil will continue to support the producers he works with but also assist with FIG’s sales development programs.

Phil, his wife Lena, and their 3 children reside in the Lake Norman area of NC.

Phil holds his series 7, series 63, series 24, and life and health licenses in NC.  His degree from ASU is in Communication with a triple concentration in Organization, Interpersonal, and Public Communications along with a minor in Business.
