Are you promoting your company’s Facebook page? You might want to consider setting up a custom URL/Username for your Facebook page. Next time you go to your company’s page look at the URL at the top of your browser. You may notice a lot of random letters and numbers after you company’s name.
For example: https://www.facebook.com/YourCompany-321634744637749/.
While this is normal, it might look a little messy and make it difficult for some people to locate your page. If you want a link that is easier for people to remember or just want one with a more professional appearance, below are instructions on how to do so.
How do I set a username for my Page?
- Go to com/username
- Below Create your Facebook web address, select your Page from the dropdown menu
- Type a username and click Check Availability
- If the username is available, click Confirm
If the username you want is already taken or not approved, you’ll need to choose a different one. Make sure the username you’re trying to set follows the guidelines for custom usernames.
Keep in mind that your Page’s username may be removed due to inactivity.
